Locals invited to TG4’s live recording of Curfá choir competition finale

KILDARE folk are invited to become the audience for studio recording of the finale of Curfá, TG4’s flagship Irish-language choir competition, this Saturday, 11 April.
Filming will take place in St Brigid’s Cathedral, Kildare Town, offering a unique opportunity for attendees to experience a professional television recording and potentially appear on screen during the broadcast. The show’s finale is scheduled to run for approximately 4 hours.

Curfá brings together a diverse range of choirs from across Ireland, competing for the title of Ireland’s Best Choir. The final will feature performances from three outstanding choirs, Hosted by Doireann Ní Ghlacáin alongside feedback from esteemed judges Colm Ó Foghlú, Bernie Pháid Ní Mhuircheartaigh, and Séamus Ó Flatharta.
The event will also include special guest performances on the day.
Audience tickets are free, and organisers are encouraging individuals, families, and community groups to register their interest.
