Man arrested on suspicion of murder following fatal assault in Kildare Town

GARDAÍ have arrested a man in connection with the fatal assault of a man in his twenties in Kildare town on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
The man, aged in his late teens, was arrested this morning Monday, November 3, 2025 on suspicion of murder. He is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in the Kildare area.
The arrest follows an ongoing investigation into the death of a man who was discovered unresponsive on McGee Terrace at approximately 3:15am on October 26. He was taken to hospital but later passed away from his injuries.
A post-mortem examination has been completed, though Gardaí have stated that the results will not be released for operational reasons. Following the examination, a murder investigation was launched.
