Man charged in Kildare drug probe

A man has been charged following an investigation into criminal activity and distribution of drugs in Kildare and neighbouring counties.
Gardaí said a man in his 30s is due to appear before Portlaoise District Court on Thursday after he was arrested and charged this morning.
Gardaí say this is part of ongoing investigations into the activities of a Leinster based organised crime group.
“The charges follow an extensive investigation by the Laois Offaly Divisional Crime and Drugs Units, which has been targeting the sale and distribution of drugs and related criminal activity across Laois, Offaly, Carlow and Kildare since February 2025," said gardaí.
