Man charged with assault of staff at Kildare hardware store

A MAN appeared before Naas District Court charged in connection with an alleged attack on employees at the B&Q store in Naas.
It is alleged that on March 8, 2025, Grzegorz Buczkowski (40), with an address at Primrose Square, Primrose Garden, Naas, Kildare, was charged for criminal damage offences which occurred after he entered the store in Naas Retail Park in an intoxicated state and proceeded to kick a member of staff in the mouth before picking up a piece of timber and striking another staff member on the side of the face, “leaving a sizeable lump”.
The court heard from the sergeant present that the accused was on bail in relation to the charges.
Judge Desmond Zaidan ordered that Mr Buczkowski be sent forward for trial before a judge and jury at Naas Circuit Court.
The man was instructed to continue on bail under the same conditions until his appearance in the circuit court next February.
