Meeting over proposed new Kildare Lidl store taking place next week
The meeting will take place on Thursday 17
LIDL Ireland is inviting residents and members of the Monasterevin community and the surrounding areas to a public information evening to view and discuss its plans for a proposed new supermarket on the site of the old St Paul's school.
The meeting will take place on Thursday 17 September between 5-7pm at Monasterevin Community Centre on Whelan Street.
Members of Lidl’s property team will be on hand to present detailed architectural plans, outline the project timelines and answer any questions from the public. The proposed development aims to deliver a modern, spacious supermarket built to the highest environmental and building standards, incorporating energy-efficient technologies such as solar panel installations, heat recovery systems and electric vehicle charging points.
Speaking ahead of the event, Damien Ryan, Regional Property Director at Lidl Ireland said: "We are looking forward to meeting the community of Monasterevin and sharing our vision for a new store in the locality.... community feedback is an essential part of our planning process, and we welcome everyone to come along on Thursday evening, view the designs and discuss how our development can best serve Monasterevin."
