With some 250 registered participants, the recent annual Narraghmore Pink Run raised €3,500 for Breast Cancer Ireland. The event, which has raised substantial sums for the cause in recent years, included runners, walkers and family strollers, out in force.

It was a perfect day for the event, overcast but fresh and dry, and humour was universally good as they set off from The Old Hardware, both starting and finishing point for the well-stewarded country roads 5K and 10K routes.

On their return, participants were treated to tea and scones, which the local Foroige Club members and the volunteer staff at the cafe had spent the morning preparing.

The event was established in 2022, on a day with most awful weather which didn't stop a large crowd getting involved, or put them off for following years.

Judging by this year's event, the Pink Run will grace the roads of Narraghmore for some time yet.
