New housing and childcare development proposed for Kildare village

A NEW residential development featuring 34 homes and a childcare facility is seeking planning permission in Ballitore, Co Kildare.
The applicant, Kestorra Ltd. proposes a mix of housing types, including eight apartments across two two-storey blocks, 22 semi-detached two-storey houses, and four detached two-storey houses.
As part of the plans, a crèche will also be built on-site to serve local families.
Each apartment unit will be equipped with individual bin and bicycle storage. The project also includes connection to the public foul water sewer and all necessary ancillary site works to support the new housing and childcare facilities.
The new application was received by Kildare County Council recently and awaits its decision, due on December 19, 2025.
