New housing estate proposed for Kilcullen

AN APPLICATION has been received for a major housing development of 70 units on Naas Road, Kilcullen.
The 4.4 acre site is bounded by Moanbane residential estate to the north, Kilcullen Industrial Estate to the south, Naas Road to the west and greenfield land to the east.
The development is to consist of four one-bedroom maisonettes in a two-storey block, 43 two-storey houses with 15 two-bed units and 28 three-bed units, 13 two-storey with dormers houses including four bedroom units, and 10 three-storey houses including four bedroom units.
The development also includes a new site entrance onto the Naas Road, internal roads and footpaths, 105 car parking spaces, bicycle parking, and bicycle and bin store.
No decision has been made by Kildare County Council on the development at this point in time. However, this could be another estate for the rapidly growing town.
