New Kildare social housing announced

Kildare Kildare County Council plan on turning a former HSE dispensary site into five social housing units.

The council are initiating a Part VIII application at the site in Carbury, Kildare at W91 VF24.

It will see the redevelopment of a brownfield site including the demolition of single-story building on the northeastern side of a community facility.

The project plans on building four new terraced, two-storey buildings comprising three two-bed dwellings and one three-bed dwelling while the existing single-storey dwelling will also be developed.

The five dwellings are earmarked for people complying with ‘Local Need’ requirements set out in the County Development Plan.

Full details will go on display from Thursday 18 July to 16 August and will be able to be viewed on https://consult.kildarecoco.ie.

The deadline for submissions is Friday 30 August.
