Part of Dublin's Luas line has stopped operating.

A signalling issue on the red line means there is currently no service between Smithfield and Abbey Street.

Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus for the duration of the disruption.

A message on X from Luas said: "Passengers, please be advised that services on the Red Line are only running at the moment from Tallaght/Saggart to Smithfield and from Abbey Street to Connolly/The Point due to a signaling issue.

"There is no service between Smithfield and Abbey Street. Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus for the duration of this disruption. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
