Planning granted for Kildare childcare centre expansion

PLANNING permission has been granted for a significant extension to the Kilcullen Community Childcare & Education Centre (KCCEC), complete with two new classrooms and a sensory room.
The approved development will see the construction of a storey-and-a-half extension to the rear of the existing crèche building at the Community Complex on Newbridge Road. The extension will include two new classrooms along with ancillary rooms aimed at supporting the centre’s growing needs.
In addition, plans include the installation of a lean-to external overhang, creating a covered patio area to the rear of the building.
A further element of the project involves the conversion of an existing external overhang at the front of the building into a dedicated sensory room.
The development is expected to support the increasing demand for childcare services in the Kilcullen area.
