Plans approved for Naas apartments
6/7 South Main Street, Naas
PLANS to convert vacant commercial premises in Naas town into new residential units has been approved by Kildare County Council.
The proposed development submitted by Tricondale Ltd involves the change of use of the existing unused commercial space located on the first and second floors above the vacant retail unit at Intersport Elverys on 6/7 South Main Street, as well as additional vacant space in the adjoining rear building on Abbey Street at ground, first and second floor levels. In total, the plans would see the creation of three new apartments.
The application also includes associated site works and the connection of the proposed apartments to existing services.
The South Main Street building is a protected structure, meaning any alterations must be carried out with particular regard to the preservation of its architectural character.
The development site is located in close proximity to Naas Post Office and Naas Library.
