Alannah Prizeman was in stunning form as Naas saw off Clane to book their set up a Kildare LGFA Joe Mallon Motors Intermediate Football Championship semi-final against Cappagh.
The Kildare star scored 4-5, with her last goal, a classy finish into the top left hand corner of the Clane net, summed up her confidence on the night.
She scored the first 2-2 for Naas, one from a penalty after Roisin O’Grady had been fouled.
Despite the heavy final scoreline, Clane were competitive for the majority of the game and they pulled back a goal through Alexandra Finn in the 18th minute.
Naas were irrepressible though and just a minute later, Dervla Hanafin set up Aoife McDermott and her electrifying pace left the Clane defence before she slotted home.
Naas were 3-7 to 1-5 ahead at half time and things didn’t get any easier for Clane in the second half with the introducton of Niamh Bergin. She was only the pitch for four minutes before hitting the Clane net, and she rattled the crossbar shortly after.
Midfielder Emily Gallagher got among the goals before Prizeman saw off the game with her third and fourth goals for what was an all-round excellent display for Naas.
