Lidl has announced that its Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) in Newbridge will once again serve as a key drop-off point for real Christmas tree recycling, in partnership with Kildare County Council.

This free, convenient service helps local residents dispose of their trees sustainably, ensuring they are not sent to landfill but are instead transformed into valuable resources for the community.

The recycling service will be available to the public for a fortnight at the Lidl Newbridge RDC from Monday 5 January to Monday 19 January.

Real Christmas trees dropped off at the RDC will be collected and shredded by Kildare County Council.

The resulting mulch will be repurposed for local landscaping projects throughout the county.
