Richie Whelan supports The Short Grass Kildare Nationalist Sports Podcast
Richie Whelan presents Ger McNally of the Kildare Nationalist with embroidered jumpers and jackets
The panel on The Short Grass Kildare Nationalist Sports Podcast will be looking sharp on camera now after receiving specially embroidered jumpers and jackets from Richie Whelan's Menswear of Naas.
Ger McNally and Tommy O’Connell from the podcast were presented with the new gear by Richie Whelan himself at his shop on the Main Street of Naas.
“Richie has long been a wonderful supporter of Kildare GAA,” said McNally.
“He’s become something of a lucky charm in recent times and in the last year or so has kitted out successful teams in Caragh, the Kildare hurlers and footballers, and most recently Sallins. He also togged out Bredan Cawley and his team of umpires ahead of him refereeing the All-Ireland Football Championship.
“We are very grateful of Richie’s support and are delighted that he has decided to back another winning team with us here on The Short Grass Kildare Nationalist Sports Podcast,” he added.
