A NEW traffic calming raised table is required on the access road to the Station Walk development in Newbridge, a road safety audit undertaken on behalf of the developer has ascertained.

Cllr Peggy O'Dwyer was told at the recent meeting of the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District that this and other items raised in the audit are being addressed before the opening of the access road in the coming weeks.

The councillor noted that it is a "very large" development and that residents in the area are very concerned about road safety issues.

The raised table requirement was a significant issue, and officials said it is being addressed.
