Sadness as former Athy takeaway owner passes away

A well-known Athy businessman has passed away today. Gino Talassi was known to countless people in Athy and surrounds for his operation of the former Pizza Pan on Duke Street.
Gion is survived by children Elisa, Tanya, Adamo, Gino and Serena. Nono (grandfather) to Luke, Kaitlyn, Ella-Mai, Jack and Kailum. He is sadly missed and loved by Lisa and Umberto, family, friends and the staff of St Vincent's Hospital, Athy.
A mourner on RIP.ie described Mr Talassi as a gentleman.
Mr Talassi will repose at Rigneys Funeral Home on Thursday evening. The funeral cortege will walk from 19 Duke Street, the former home of Pizza Pan at 10.15am on Friday morning at St Michael's Parish Church, Athy for Requiem Mass at 10.30am, see livestream link http://www.parishofathy.ie. A private cremation will take place afterwards.
