Sarsfeld GAA Club open their new sauna

Sarsfield GAA Club in Newbridge is going a touch Scandinavian after it opened its very first sauna, along with three ice baths, and a six body, wood-fired hot tub at the club grounds in Rickardstown.

This is a doubly auspicious move in that the company behind this novel move is local firm Saunas4U andh this is its first location in Kildare GAA.

Zackery O'Rourke, co-founder of Saunas4U was delighted to come and cut the ribbon with Sarsfields Chairperson Eddie Manning.

The opening event welcomed health and wellness social media influencers to come and enjoy the Saunas4U experience for the day.

When asked about the opening, Mr O'Rourke said: “It’s been fantastic to see the sauna come together at Sarsfields GAA Club!

"The Saunas4U team are really excited to open our doors and bring woodfired wellness to Newbridge. We think they’ll like what it has to offer.”

Co-founders Zackery O'Rourke, Shane Byrne and Peter Mahon each with their own set of skills and all local to Newbridge and Kildare, pulled together and brought their vision of woodfired wellness to life.

Deciding it was time Newbridge had its very own sauna spot for locals, sports enthusiasts and wellness seekers alike to come and relax and unwind. The vision didn’t stop at a sauna, ice baths, and the wood-fired hot tub, but also includes four changing rooms and a common area.
