Sheep droppings stressing Curragh residents

Sheep are stressing out residents
KILDARE County Council will ask the Department of Defence to consider an issue of damage being caused by sheep on three estates bordering the Curragh plains. The matter was raised by Cllr Pat Balfe at a recent meeting of the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District.
The councilor highlighted stress being experienced by residents of Curragh Downs, Curragh View and Orchard Park. He said the damage is as a result of the lack of measures in place to control and prevent access to these areas.
"Children can't play in the estates because of droppings left by sheep," he noted at the meeting, which agreed that the Department of Defence should be written to on the matter.
