Jack Sheridan returns to the matchday squad as Brian Dowling’s Kildare take on Kerry in Cedral St Conleths Park this afternoon.
The Naas sharpshooter missed out last week as Kildare began their season with defeat to Down in Ballycran but he is edging closer to full fitness and adds to Dowling’s options off the bench.
There are two changes in the starting XV. Cormac Byrne replaces John McKeon at corner back while Muiris Curtin replaces his Moorefield team-mate Conn Kehoe at centre half forward, both playes dropping to the bench.
It’s Kerry’s first game of the season after having a bye in the opening round and it’s a match that Kildare will see as a must-win after last week’s defeat.
