Former Kildare goalkeeper Shane McCormack has guided Meath back to the LGFA All-Ireland senior final for the first time since 2022 after they dethroned reigning champions Kerry this evening in a 2-12 to 1-9 win at O'Connor Park in Tullamore.

The Allenwood manager is in his second season in charge of the Royals and they clinched the win over a side who beat Kildare in the previous round thanks to goals in either half by Kerrie Cole and Sarah Wall.

Meath caused a sensation when they beat Dublin to win their first senior title in 2021 under Eamonn Murray, and they beat Kerry the following under the same manager to the retain the title.

This is their first return to the final since those glory days and they will meet either Dublin or Galway in the decider.
