Speeding drink driver in Athy was seven times over limit

A disqualified driver speeding in Athy was stopped by gardaí on Monday night and found to be seven times over the legal limit.
The driver was detected travelling 91kph in a 60kph zone on Monday night but speeding seemed the least of the individual's problems when gardaí discovered his circumstances.
An Garda Siochana Kildare Facebook page said: ‘When stopped it was discovered that he was an unaccompanied learner permit holder, disqualified from driving and on bail for previously driving while disqualified. And also he tested seven time over the legal alcohol limit for driving.’
