Suspected drug driver overturns car on Kildare road

A driver suspected of being under the influence of drugs overturned his car on a Kildare road yesterday.
Kildare gardaí arrested the driver on Saturday following this single-vehicle road collision.
Miraculously, gardaí say the driver escaped without injury but failed a roadside drugs test for cannabis and cocaine.
“The driver has since been charged with dangerous driving, and further charges may follow pending the results of forensic drug analysis,” said an Garda Siochana Kildare Facebook page.
The post asked how different this situation could have been.
‘A family receiving a knock on the door. A life-changing injury. An innocent road user caught up in someone else's reckless decision. This time, luck was on the driver's side. Next time, it could be someone else's life that pays the price.”
Gardaí did not specify where in the county the incident took place.
Gardaí appealed for people to stay safe this bank holiday weekend.
