The 2 Johnnies say Kildare has worst roads in Ireland

The 2 Johnnies have been driven crazy by the quality of Kildare roads labelling them the worst in Ireland.

The pair have performed the length the breadth of the country over the years and both unanimously plumped for Kildare when they were asked on their podcast about where has the worst roads.

“We did a gig in Carbury one time … there’s no road in Tipperary that bad. You’d be better off getting a helicopter into town,” said Johnny B.

Asked to elaborate, Johnny Smacks says: “Windy, bumpy, potholes.” 

The pair put the issue down to the landscape in west Kildare.

“Rathangan to Edenderry, that’s good bog road now. Up and down. That’s Disneyland spec, space mountain,” said Johnny B.

Johnny Smacks concluded: “We drove to all those kinds of areas in the early days but I remember Carbury in Kildare sticking out as having the worst roads of all time.”
