Truck overturns at motorway roundabout

SERIOUS traffic delays occurred on Friday after a truck carrying logs overturned on a roundabout off the M7 motorway in Portlaoise.
Emergency services were at the scene of the crash, which happened mid-morning at the busy Togher roundabout on the M7/N7 eastbound off-slip.
Gardaí set up detours and a warning has been issued to motorists to expect delays, while emergency services deal with the collision.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland(TII) said: ‘Delays to your journey will occur. Consider a different journey route or start time.
‘When approaching the collision location, drive with caution, reduce your speed and obey instructions from emergency services.’
