UPDATED: Fire causes substantial damage at popular Kildare sauna
The blaze on Wednesday afternoon
Emergency services have tackled a blaze near Sarsfields GAA in Newbridge on Wednesday.
The fire caused significant damage to a sauna which was opened in the grounds just last year.
In a post on social media, Sarsfields GAA said: 'Following the recent fire at Saunas4U, we are happy to confirm that everyone is safe and no one was hurt. We would like to thank the emergency services for their prompt response and support. We are thinking of everyone at Saunas4u and their staff at this difficult time.'
Saunas4U said they were ‘devastated over the loss of our gorgeous space’ on Instagram.
‘We appreciate the messages we have received so far. It’ll take some time to process this loss but we hope to be back better than ever in the future.
‘Thank you for all the continued support you have shown us.’
