There were 787 adults in emergency accommodation in Cork in March this year, up from 760 the month before.

Former Fianna Fáil TD Jim Glennon’s connections with Daniel Ramamoorthy go back over a decade when he worked on the advisory board for his firm Treehouse Co, according to the Irish Independent.
Glennon has admitted he was the former TD who wrote a reference for sex offender Ramamoorthy.

The Irish Daily Mirror leads with former RTÉ presetner Caitriona Perry saying she dived for cover when a gunman opened fire at a dinner attended by US president Donald Trump.

Dubravko Ostojic was at Galway District Court on Sunday charged with the assault of his mother Milena (65), the Irish Daily Star reports.
The 33-year-old was denied bail after his mother suffered fatal wounds.

All parties should do an audit of their TDs’ record of providing character references in criminal trials, Aontú leader Peadar Tóibín has said, after former TD Jim Glennon was revealed as the person who gave a character reference for a man convicted of sexually exploiting a boy.
Referring to how the former Fianna Fáil TD gave a reference to a disgraced former government adviser, Tóibín told the Irish Daily Mail: "Such court references should be registered by parties and put on public record."

After revealing himself as the TD who wrote a reference for sex offender Daniel Ramamoorthy, his press statement said he would not be doing any interviews, according to The Herald.
