NEWBRIDGE locals have raised concerns over the ongoing problems with water pressure in the area, prompting local representatives to contact Uisce Éireann for assistance.
At a recent Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District meeting, cathaoirleach Noel Heavey raised these concerns calling for further updates and clarity from Uisce Éireann regarding potential solutions and an implementation timeline.
Cllr Heavey explained that “very frustrated” people have been coming to cllrs with water pressure issues, and said: “We need Uisce Éireann to respond to this.”
In response, the council confirmed that the query has been formally submitted to Uisce Éireann through the designated communication channel.
According to the meetings administrator with corporate services, members will have a chance to meet with Uisce Éireann at a full council meeting in September to discuss the issue.
The community now awaits this meeting, which is expected to outline any proposed measures to address the problem.
