Young Monasterevin jockey lands first win of his career
Monasterevin jockey Conor Whiteley had his first winner today at Doncaster
18-year-old Monasterevin jockey Conor Whiteley landed the first win of his career today at Doncaster when he rode the Brian Ellison trained Lir Speciale to land the opening race at Doncaster.
Whiteley, who is a nephew through marriage of Mick Kinnane and Niall McCullagh, came up through the pony racing circuit and is now based in England and works in David O’Meara’s yard.
He has gone close to his first win on a couple of occasions in his six previous races but now that he has broken his duck, hopefully this is just the first of many.
We're up and running at @DoncasterRaces!
