If it is goals you want come along and watch Des Balmer’s Under 20 side. Saturday saw them add six to their tally as Klub Kildare continued to add to their recent good vein of form.

From the first goal after nineteen minutes when Kian Brunton scored from the spot Klub Kildare were never in any danger of defeat.

Celebration time after Ava Walsh opened the scoring for Klub Kildare against Drogheda Utd

Once again a great performance from the girls saw them share the points with Drogheda United on Saturday morning in FBD Hotels and Resorts Park, but the inability to convert their chances once again haunted Klub Kildare and prevented them from getting their first win of the season.

Morgan Kearney set up Ava Walsh to open the scoring in the twenty sixth minute. Klub Kildare were on top but failed to take their chances and Drogheda United equalised after thirty eight minutes. It appeared as if Drogheda would take all three points as they took the lead after fifty five minutes.

Paul Roberts brought on a few new faces and it paid off as Morgan Kearney once again was the instigator and set up Tegan Lynch to get a deserved equaliser.
