Award winning jazz saxophonist comes to Newbridge

Emma Rawicz Jazz Saxophonist

This June, Music Network presents stellar jazz saxophonist Emma Rawicz performing with her exceptional quartet featuring Elliot Galvin on piano, Kevin Glasgow on bass and Asaf Sirkis on drums.

Emma and her quartet will be in Ireland from June 4 until 13 playing in venues across the country, with a night in Riverbank Arts Centre on Friday, June 13 at 8pm.

Ms Rawicz is a multi-award winning young bandleader and composer who is making waves on the UK music scene and beyond.

At just nineteen, Emma independently released her critically acclaimed debut album Incantation, and singlehandedly managed an extensive UK release tour that featured headline performances at renowned venues such as Ronnie Scott’s and the Jazz Cafe.

Her latest album, Chroma, released on the ACT label, was selected as The Guardian’s Album of the Month and has earned her further international recognition.

She was recently selected as a BBC New Generation Artist, is the winner of a Parliamentary Jazz Award and a former finalist at the Jazz FM Awards and BBC Young Jazz Musician Competition.

The Royal Academy of Music recently awarded her the Musicians’ Company Silver Medal for excellence and for her contribution to the institution, an award not previously given to a jazz student.

This night is not one to miss! Tickets are available on the Riverbank Arts Centre website.
