Bob Dylan Festival comes to Kildare's Burton House

The music of Bob Dylan is coming to Burtown House next month

FANS of Bob Dylan are set to gather at Burtown House and Gardens on Saturday 23 May for ‘A Buskers Ball’ – to mark the music legend’s 85th birthday.

This day-long festival will bring together an eclectic lineup of musicians, poets, and storytellers to honour the man who redefined the landscape of modern music – and still the only musician in history to have won the Nobel Prize for Literature.

What began as an intimate gathering of friends has evolved into Ireland’s leading Dylan celebration, and this year’s event promises an immersive journey through Dylan’s vast catalogue, running from midday until midnight in the heart of the Kildare countryside.

Along with Ireland’s most acclaimed tribute act, The Bob Dylan Roadshow, there will be a diverse roster of original Dylan-inspired talent including Harry Fennell, Oracle Villa, Eileen Gogan, and Alright Then.

In the spirit of Dylan’s Greenwich Village roots, the day features a curated ‘Buskers Ball’, where a host of talented performers will breathe new life into the classics and the deep cuts.

Set against the backdrop of the historic Burtown House Gardens six kilometres east of Athy on the N78, the festival offers more than just music.

Attendees can enjoy the award-winning hospitality of The Green Barn, which will be serving local food throughout the day, from sit-down lunch to a festival barbeque.

A full bar will be operating throughout the event, featuring curated wines, craft beers, and botanical cocktails inspired by the gardens.

Join us as we "bring it all back home" for a milestone birthday celebration of the 20th century's greatest songwriter, and so inspiring, he once got our former President nearly topless.
