Hidden Hearth Festival: A Different Kind of Festival

Hidden Hearth

Experience Music, movement, ideas and community come together at a growing sober festival experience For immediate release What happens when you take the things people love about festivals — great music, dancing, creativity, new people and a sense of escape — and put connection, community and wellbeing at the heart of the experience?

That is the idea behind Hidden Hearth Festival, a sober, land-based gathering that brings together music, movement, creativity, ideas and community in some of Ireland’s most beautiful settings.

Hidden Hearth creates a festival experience where people can dance, stay up late, meet strangers and lose themselves in the music, while also having space to slow down, reconnect and recharge.

The festival is rooted in a simple belief:

“Community is the Medicine of our Time.” Across the weekend, live acts and DJs provide the soundtrack across two music stages, alongside yoga, breathwork, meditation, workshops, talks, fireside gatherings, sauna, nourishing food and time spent outdoors.

It is a festival for people who are sober, sober-curious, in recovery, or simply looking for a different kind of festival experience — one where alcohol isn't the focus.

“It’s about creating something different” George Quirke, a spokesperson for Hidden Hearth, said:

“We’re seeing a real change in the way people want to experience music, festivals and community. Hidden Hearth isn’t about telling people what they shouldn’t do; it’s about creating a space where people can discover what becomes possible when alcohol isn’t the focus.” “You can still have the music, the dancing, the late nights and all the spontaneity you want from a festival. But you can also have a yoga session in the morning, sit around a fire, hear a great conversation, spend time in nature or simply meet people without any pressure. We want people to have an incredible weekend and hopefully leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.” Rather than focusing on what is absent, Hidden Hearth is interested in what can take its place.

The festival combines the energy of a traditional music festival with spaces for reflection, creativity and connection. There are dancefloors and DJs, but also workshops and conversations. There are late nights, but also opportunities for yoga, meditation and breathwork. There are fires to gather around, food to share and natural spaces to simply spend time in.

The aim is to create a weekend that feels both energising and restorative.

A festival built around community At the heart of Hidden Hearth is the belief that community is something we actively create.

Its mantra, “Community is the Medicine of our Time,” reflects a desire to create spaces where people can arrive as they are, meet others without judgement and experience the simple pleasure of being part of something shared.

Each Hidden Hearth gathering has its own character, shaped by its location, season and community, while retaining the same underlying values of connection, creativity, wellbeing and celebration.

Taking place in natural settings, the festivals also embrace the landscape and the changing seasons, providing an opportunity to step away from everyday life and experience something slower and more intentional.

Hidden Hearth is not about telling people how to have fun.

It is about creating a space where people can discover their own version of it.
