Line dancing flash mob taking place in Athy
The event will take place on Saturday 2 May at 3pm in the newly developed Emily Square
ATHY is preparing for a lively and unique celebration this May Bank Holiday weekend, as Athy Town Promoters announce plans for the town’s first-ever International Line Dance Flash Mob.
The event will take place on Saturday 2 May at 3pm in the newly developed Emily Square.
Open to all ages and abilities, the flash mob invites both experienced line dancers and complete beginners to take part.
A free, beginner-friendly lesson will be held in advance of the main event, offering newcomers the chance to learn the steps and join in on the fun.
Athy Town Promoters are promising a unique event which is expected to draw participants and spectators alike, as those who would prefer to watch rather than dance are also encouraged to attend.
The event is part of a wider effort to use Emily Square as a central hub for community activity.
“Let’s put Emily Square back on the map with an incredible day of dance and community spirit,” said Athy Town Promoters.
