Massive family fun day coming to Kildare this weekend

KILDARE County Council has announced details of National Play Day 2026, a fun-filled and inclusive event for the whole family, which will take place at Áras Chill Dara, Naas this Saturday, 5 September, from 12 noon to 5pm.
The event will feature more than 30 indoor and outdoor activities, including live stage acts, with something for all age groups. Accessible features such as quiet entry, wheelchair-friendly access, a sensory suite and accessible toilets will be available on the day.
Play in all its forms, leisure and recreation support children to explore, develop and learn.
This much-loved annual event continues to attract large crowds and Kildare County Council looks forward to welcoming families back to Áras Chill Dara for another busy and enjoyable day.
Supported by volunteers, workshop facilitators, entertainers and emergency services, the county council says it will deliver an ‘exciting, engaging and fun-filled programme for families to enjoy’.
Kildare County Council would like to extend a warm invitation to you and your family to join it at this year’s event.
All activities and parking are free on site and food and drinks will be available to purchase.
