Woman (70s) dies following two-vehicle collision in Limerick

A woman in her 70s has died following a fatal two-vehicle road traffic collision involving cars on the N21 at Templeglantine West, Co Limerick, on Saturday.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene following reports of a collision, which occurred at approximately 11:50am.
The female driver of one of the cars (aged in her 70s) was conveyed to University Hospital Limerick, where she was subsequently pronounced deceased.
The female passenger of the second vehicle (also aged in her 70s) was conveyed to University Hospital Kerry for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at this time.
A forensic collision investigation will be carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators (FCI).
The road is currently open.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area between 11am and 12pm on Saturday to contact them.
Road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) from that section of road during the relevant period are also asked to make it available to investigating officers.
