NAAS has been named Ireland’s Best Kept Town for 2025, taking the overall title at the prestigious Ireland’s Best Kept Town awards ceremony held in Farmleigh House, Phoenix Park, Dublin, on June 17.
The announcement marked a special milestone as this year’s competition celebrates its 30th anniversary.
The Ireland’s Best Kept Towns competition is an all-island initiative that brings together top contenders from the SuperValu TidyTowns competition in the Republic and the Best Kept competition in Northern Ireland. The event celebrates communities that show exceptional pride, care, and attention to their local environment.
Naas not only scooped the overall title but also won the Best Kept Large Urban Centre category, cementing its status as a shining example of community-led care.
Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Dara Calleary, praised the winners, and said:
“Now in its 30th year, Ireland’s Best Kept Town Competition recognises the great pride people have in their own communities, both in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Investment in our communities through this wonderful competition reaps long-term rewards for all. It is a testament to how local volunteers take ownership of their local area and work to improve them, for now and into the future.”
