Newbridge bins to feature council notices

The Big Belly waste bins in Newbridge are to be used to advertise upcoming local public consultations relating to the town, following representations by Cllr Chris Pender.

Addressing his motion on the matter, the councillor told the July meeting of the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District that it was an opportunity to inform the public that “shouldn't be passed up”.

"As many members of the public as possible should be able to see what consultations are happening and coming," he said.

He welcomed confirmation that the KCC Transport Section will consider the idea as part of future consultations, starting with the Newbridge Area based Transport Assessment Phase 2 consultation that is due to commence shortly.
