First half goals enough to see off Wexford
Josh Brogan celebrating his goal on Saturday against Wexford
On a beautiful Saturday morning, Klub Kildare recorded an excellent 4-2 win over Wexford in FBD Hotels and Resorts Park in the Under 15 League of Ireland. The good weather certainly seemed to suit Kildare and they raced into a three goal lead early on. Adam Whelan opened the scoring after nine minutes and he added a second 15 minutes later.
Kildare were cruising then when Josh Brogan added a third before the half time break.
It wasn't all plain sailing, however, and the visitors fought back in the second half and really applied some pressure on Kildare. Dylan Rossiter pulled a goal back early in the second half and when Nadal Kingne got their second in the 70th minute, Klub Kildare were starting to get nervous.
However, those nerves were settled in the final minute when Nikita Salari struck to make sure of the win.

Ruari Daly’s Under 14 squad showed the strength in depth as he had to field a side less a few injured players on Sunday against Wexford in FBD Hotels and Resorts Park but they still managed to record an impressive win.
A brace from Charlie McCann and another effort from Ryan Breslin was enough to make sure of a comfortable victory.

Klub Kildare’s inability to take their chances is certainly haunting them in the League of Ireland.
Bray scored early when Isabella Mac Leod opened her account after ten minutes.
After that setback, Klub Kildare controlled the game until the half time whistle but missed numerous chances to draw level.
They did restore parity early in the second half when Teagan Lynch found the Bray net. It looked as if Klub Kildare would kick on and take the three points from there but five minutes later MacLeod scored her second goal and the Bray striker completed her hat trick in the 66th minute to ensure there was no way back for the gallant Kildare girls who ran out of steam after that.
