Kildare's McConn wins national Poc Fada title

In blustery conditions on Annaverna Mountain in Louth’s Cooley Peninsula on the August Bank Holiday Monday, Broadford’s Eloise McConn won the U16 Camogie trophy at M. Donnelly GAA Poc Fada All-Ireland finals.
McConn came through the Leinster competition and won through against some of the biggest hitters in the country. She completed the course in 32 pucks and 59.3 metres, edging out Clare's Sadhbh Whelan, who finished in second place.
The senior men’s competition was won by Limerick goalkeeper Colin Ryan, back-up to Nicky Quaid in the recent All-Ireland final, and the camogie competition was Cork’s Molly Lynch, who was winning her sixth successive title.
Westmeath’s Conor Raleigh won the Boys U16 title.
