Klub Kildare girls pay for wastefulness in front of goal
Annabel Carty rounds the Sligo Rovers goalkeeper during Saturday's game
Paul Roberts’ young side continued their improvement with a very satisfying 1-1 draw against Sligo Rovers in FBD Hotels and Resorts Park on Saturday morning.
Klub Kildare started well and had Sligo under pressure from the kick off. Things were looking good when Annabelle Carty struck home after six minutes to put the Kildare girls in front. Klub Kildare were well on top at this stage but failed to convert their chances, with two chances in particular proved wasteful as Klub Kildare were one on one with the Sligo keeper Ivana McMahon but failed to take these opportunities.
Sligo Rovers made the pay for their wastefulness when Carh Guckina scored after 59 minutes to earn a share of the points for the visitors.

In this high scoring game played in FBD Hotels and Resorts Prak on Saturday Klub Kildare eventually ran out winners over a gutsy Mayo team.
Mayo started well and took the lead after fourteen minutes through a goal by Zack Stone with Klub Kildare striking back in the twenty fifth minute through Kornii Zakharkiv.
Both defences were poor and goal chances were in abundance for both teams.
Owen Radford scored the pick of the goals after thirty five minutes when he shot home from thirty five yards out with his volley beating Harry Naylor in the Mayo goal.
Tems swapped goals until Catalin Munteanu made sure of the points with his goal two minutes into injury time.
