Richard firmly believed that as school principal it is part of his responsibility to be active in the town affairs. 

“I’ve been in Athy all this time – no ambition,” laughed Richard 

“I hope it did get through, so maybe somewhere we might save one life."

It’s a big, long process

A hugely talented young local band have released their new single to the world. I. F. . consists of Natalia Bielaszewska (drums), Melina McDonald (guitar) and Makayla Farrell (bass and singer), all students at Athy College.

The Athy Darkness Into Light Committee have said they are “incredibly grateful” for the fantastic support shown during this year's Athy Darkness Into Light walk. A fantastic €11,404. 83 was raised by the community for a very worthy cause.
