Talented young Athy band release cracking new single

A hugely talented young local band have released their new single to the world.

I.F.. consists of Natalia Bielaszewska (drums), Melina McDonald (guitar) and Makayla Farrell (bass and singer), all students at Athy College.

Their new song, titled ‘The Ballad of the Lost’, has been released this week on all platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and more.

I.F.. was formed in November 2022 after meeting at the school’s music club where they made their first song ‘Something About You’ (which they performed at the school’s Wintersong event).

Since then, they have played in multiple places around Kildare and in other counties. In their time as a band so far, they have all grown on their instruments and learned from each other.

They have became great friends in the last year and continue writing their own music as well as covering famous rock songs. Their music is inspired by genres from indie to rock.

They practice on a regular basis, most weeks around twice a week in the school, “but if we have like an important gig coming up we’ll use the weekends in Melina’s house.”
