Man (50s) dies in Roscommon traffic incident

A man in his 50s has died in a single-vehicle road traffic incident in Co Roscommon on Sunday.

The incident occurred on a local road at Culleenamore, Kilglass.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene shortly before 7am.

The sole occupant of the vehicle, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged, gardaí said.

The road is currently closed to facilitate a forensic examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash cam, and were travelling in the area at the time have been asked to make their footage available to investigating gardaí.
