Naas star King to lead Ireland against USA

Head Coach Scott Bemand has named the Ireland team for Sunday’s WXV Global Series opener against USA in what will be a first ever test international at Dublin's Tallaght Stadium.
Ireland are captained by Naas star, Erin King, who leads the side from the back row.
Bemand has included one uncapped player in his starting XV, as Connacht’s Jemima Adams Verling is set to make her test debut at blindside flanker alongside King and the Guinness Women’s Six Nations Player of the Championship, Aoife Wafer, in a formidable back row.
Sunday’s fixture is the first of three home matches for Ireland during this Autumn block of the WXV Global Series. Bemand's side will face Japan in Round 2 at Galway's Dexcom Stadium on Saturday, September 27, before facing Japan again, this time at Virgin Media Park in Cork, on Saturday, 3 October.
