Athy gardaí seize illegal e-scooter

Gardaí based in Athy seized an illegal scooter recently.
The roads policing unit said they detected an illegal KuKirin G2 e-scooter being used in a public place.
The an Garda Siochana Kildare Facebook page said: ‘These high-powered e-scooters are not legal for use on public roads or in public places in Ireland and pose a serious risk to the rider and everyone around them.
‘If you own one, now is the time to get rid of it. Return it if possible, or dispose of it through an authorised recycling facility. If we find it being used illegally in a public place, we will seize it.’
