Car goes up in flames at busy Kildare coffee spot

A BMW car went on fire this afternoon while waiting in line at the Mart coffee truck in Kilcullen.
The vehicle was totally destroyed in a very short time.
A unit of the Kildare Fire Brigade arrived to extinguish the blaze, while students from the nearby CPC and a number of adults watched.
There are no reports of injuries.
No official attempts were made to keep people back to a safe distance while the blaze was at its height. Nor was the passing traffic diverted.
