Celbridge 2-16 Clogherinkoe 1-7 

Celbridge completed a clean sweep in Group B of the 2024 Joe Mallon Motors Senior Football Championship following a comfortable victory over Clogherinkoe at Conneff Park on Saturday evening.

Four first-half points by Aaron Browne, together with goals by Tony Archbold and Mick O’Grady helped Micheál McDermott’s side exerted a tight grip on this tie as they opened up a 2-10 to 1-3 advantage by the break.

Clogherinkoe had found the back of the net 13 minutes in through Jimmy Lynch, but they still faced an uphill task heading into the second period.

And Celbridge easily kept them at bay as Killian Browne split the posts four times in the closing half hour to take his tally to 0-5, while, substitutes Kevin O’Callaghan and Paddy Wall also fired over.
