The celebrities hit the fairways of Co Kildare as the 2024 Marie Keating Foundation Celebrity Golf Classic took place on the South Palmer Course at the K-Club on Thursday.

Over 30 teams participated and had the unique opportunity to play with an array of celebrities and sporting legends including Rory Best, Conor Murray, Dennis Taylor, Ken Doherty, and Jimmy Nesbit to name a few.
This highly anticipated flagship event is in its 26th year and aims to raise €100,000 in vital funds for the early detection cancer charity.
A host of celebrities from the world of sports and entertainment once again descended on the stunning surrounds of the K-Club to enjoy a day of golf followed by a gala dinner, prize giving ceremony and entertainment.

The event, which is hosted annually by the Foundation’s Patron Ronan Keating and sponsored by Sketchers, saw teams of three golfers joined by a well-known personality from the world of entertainment and sport.
The money raised will fund the Marie Keating Foundation’s mission to grow their nursing team. The foundation’s dedicated nurses work tirelessly in communities across Ireland to raise awareness about reducing the risk of developing cancer as well as education on how to spot any signs and symptoms of cancer in its early stages.

Speaking at the event, the foundation’s patron and co-founder, Ronan Keating said: “It is always such a privilege to play a round of golf and enjoy time with old friends and new at the K-Club, and their support over the years has just been fantastic.
"We are thankful to everybody who has taken teams and to all those who have supported the event this year."
