THE PFIZER Cycle took place once again in Newbridge, and brought together colleagues, families, and the wider community in a powerful show of support for cancer awareness and research.

The annual event, a colleague-led initiative, aims to raise both funds for the Irish Cancer Society and awareness of the ongoing fight against cancer through a 280km two-day cycle between Pfizer sites from Grange Castle, Dublin to Newbridge, Kildare, and onto Ringaskiddy, Cork, as part of the 2025 Pfizer Move for Cancer initiative in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.

The Cycle was originally founded by Monasterevin native Liam Ryan, a Pfizer colleague based in Newbridge, whose passion and commitment left a lasting legacy.

Since Liam’s passing in 2020 following his battle with cancer, the event has continued in his honour, growing each year in both scale and impact.

This year, the cycle has already raised more than €345,000—and that figure is still rising.

Among those taking part were Liam’s brothers, Glenn and Kieran Ryan, who joined fellow cyclists in paying tribute to Liam’s memory.

Also in attendance were Liam’s wife Paula, their children Paidi and Sally, his mother Eileen, and a large number of Pfizer colleagues, all showing their support and solidarity.
